Every person is on a faith expedition that traverses the whole of life. This journey requires a guide, someone to walk with us, someone who knows us and what we are going through. We need someone who has paved the way and someone who is the way. Jesus is that person; Jesus is that way.

The below pathway consists of key points and milestones in our faith expedition that help us see, listen, and follow Jesus as we orienteer the trials and triumphs as disciples of Jesus in the whole of life.

Orient

ˈȯr-ē-ˌent: align or position (something) relative to the points of a compass or other specified positions.

Before you start any journey it is important to orient yourself to the environment, to discover which direction is north, south, east and west, and to align the map with your actual place in life. The same is true when we start our expedition as a whole-life disciple of Jesus Christ.

“Orienteering through Mission, Christ and Community” This course is a 90-minute course that sets the basic framework on what it means to be a whole-life disciple of Jesus at Middleton Congregational Church.

During our expedition we hit obstacles and forks in the road that require keen decision making. The same happens as whole-life disciples of Jesus Christ as we encounter things that intersect our faith and culture
